Banham Patent Locks Ltd

Banham Patent Locks Ltd was founded in 1926 by William F. Banham and has been a leader in burglary prevention since that date. He invented the first Banham lock, an automatic door bolt, and became a pioneer in the production of high quality locks. Both the police and insurance industry have praised Banham locks. Our locks which have a unique registration system are still protected by worldwide patents, hence the word ‘patent’ in our company name. The Banham Group of companies is still owned and run by the Banham family, and the company’s present Chairman is the founder’s grandson. In this age of large impersonal conglomerates, there are few companies of our size that can be as proud of a family history going back as far as ours. The first Banham locks showroom was opened in Oxford Street, and the company has now expanded to cover most aspects of home and business security systems, and has showrooms throughout the South East.
